Before Cuties was released, there was an inappropriate poster for the movie, which was widely criticized. Soon after, Netflix apologized for the poster, but they never apologized for the movie. However, the criticism only got worse once the movie was released.
On September 9, Cuties, a French movie, was released on Netflix. The movie is about an eleven-year-old girl, Amy, who turns on her traditional Muslim values to join a twerking dance group called Cuties. According to IMDB, Amy discovers her "burgeoning femininity" when she joins this Cuties group. The director for the movie claims that the purpose of this movie is to bring attention to child exploitation. However, Cuties did exactly that: they exploited young girls for the purpose of the movie. That is similar to bringing attention to animal abuse while abusing an animal in a movie. It doesn't make sense!
Now, people are claiming that those against this Cuties movie are part of the "right wing movement." Since when is being against child porn and child exploitation a right wing movement? Even Tulsi Gabbard has criticized the movie, and the Left has claimed that she has now turned to the right wing movement. It is crazy what the left is trying to normalize.
